Believe God's Promises
Let's look at a promise from God's Word.
Romans 10:9
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
This promise means that when you make Jesus the Lord in your life and believe that God raised him from the dead, you get saved.
Saved means "made whole." You now have the gift of holy spirit that makes you spiritually complete and a son of God.
We always need to remember and be thankful that it is a gift. It isn't something we earned. Ephesians 2:8,9: "For by grace are ye saved through faith [believing]; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
As God's son you have been born again of incorruptible seed. I Peter 1:23: "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever."
This gift of incorruptible seed gives you eternal life. Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Looking at one more verse in Romans we are reminded that, as a son of God, we are heirs of God, equal to Jesus Christ. Romans 8:17: "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ ..."
God's Word has Seven Church Epistles written to God's sons to let them know what they have as sons of God and what they can do as God's sons. It's exciting to read from the epistles daily. It's spiritual food for you.
Check them out because you can have the mind of Christ. (Philippians 2:5)
